2. These terms
These terms apply when you use our website, join our waitlist or create an account. When you create an account, you will be asked to confirm that you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we use your personal data.
3. Who can use MedQuiz MBBS
- MedQuiz MBBS is for medical students. You must be at least 16 to create an account.
- The information you give us must be accurate.
- Your account is for you alone. You must not share your login or let anyone else use your account, and you must keep your password secure.
4. The Master Deck
- The Master Deck is a set of revision flashcards organised around your medical school's course. It is currently free.
- We may update, correct, add or remove cards at any time, and we may change how the Master Deck works.
- We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free from errors.
5. Your licence to use the Master Deck
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Master Deck for your own personal, non-commercial study, while you have an account. We may end this licence if you break these terms.
6. What you must not do
You must not, and must not help anyone else to:
- copy, reproduce, download in bulk or export the Master Deck or any substantial part of it;
- share, publish, sell, license, lend or distribute the Master Deck or any part of it, including in study groups, on social media, file-sharing sites or other revision platforms;
- use the Master Deck to create another deck, product or service for anyone other than yourself;
- put the Master Deck or any part of it into an AI tool, dataset or training process;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access the site or the Master Deck;
- get around any limit, security measure or access control on the site;
- use the site in any way that is unlawful, or that harms the site or other users.
These rules continue to apply after your account is closed.
7. Your edits and reports
- Changes you make to cards are saved in your own copy and are visible only to you.
- If you report a problem with a card or send us feedback, you allow us to use it, free of charge, to improve our content.
8. Who owns the Master Deck
- The Master Deck as a whole, including the selection, arrangement, editing and formatting of its cards, and the database right in it, belongs to MedQuiz MBBS Limited.
- Individual cards include content contributed by medical students, which we use under licence from them.
- Our website, name, logo and branding belong to MedQuiz MBBS Limited.
- Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any of this to you.
9. Educational use only
- The Master Deck is a revision aid for medical students. It is not medical advice, and it must not be used to make decisions about patient care.
- The cards are made by medical students and have not been reviewed by doctors. They may contain errors or be out of date.
- Always check what you learn against current guidance and your own medical school's teaching.
10. No connection with your university
The Master Deck is made by MedQuiz MBBS Limited. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the University of East Anglia or any other university or medical school.
11. Price
The Master Deck is currently free. If we introduce a charge in future, we will tell you before it applies, and we will never charge you without your agreement.
12. Ambassadors and contributors
If you are a MedQuiz MBBS ambassador or have contributed content to us, your separate written agreement with us also applies. Where it conflicts with these terms, your agreement takes priority.
13. Suspending or closing accounts
- We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, especially section 6, or if we reasonably suspect misuse. Where it is appropriate, we will tell you why.
- You can close your account at any time by emailing enquiries@medquizmbbs.com from the email address on your account.
14. Our responsibility to you
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
- Subject to that, because the Master Deck is a free revision aid, we are not responsible for any loss arising from your use of it, including any effect on your exam results or academic progress, or for any loss that was not foreseeable.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you can close your account.
16. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your home courts.
